What's New On The Farm:October, 2009 --
Marguerita's daughter, Cozie, has arrived! She's a sturdy, mischievous girl who we think will be tall and stretchy like her mother. I'm not sure how her fiber is going to turn out -- stay tuned!

Welcome...Located just outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Wild Ridge Llamas is comprised of Kristi and Doug Murdock, our three Standard Poodles and five barn cats, and a small number of llamas. We like very TALL llamas. Our goal is to breed structurally sound llamas with great temperaments and high-quality handspinning fiber, but that are also at least 45" at the withers. We're not trying to create "Giant Llamas" or anything faddish; our niche is just at the "tall" end of the normal spectrum. We also enjoy showing our llamas. Upcoming Events:April, 2010 -- Shearing! If you want fiber from a particular llama and/or fiber in a particular form (uncarded, pencil roving, blended yarn, etc.) know is the time to let me know. April 24 & 25, 2010 -- Heartland Llama Show, Webster City, Iowa May, 2010 -- The Kirkwood Vet Tech students will be coming out for an afternoon of getting to know llamas. Llamas For Sale: Wild Ridge Unchained Harmony -- UNBELIEVABLE WHITE FIBER! $250 The Velvet Hammer -- UNBELIEVABLE DARK FIBER! $250 Or both together for $400 |
